Matjaž Geder creates his artworks spontaneously, he allows his intuition to take over, and he states that this ‘leads him through the artistic play of the irrational’ while he constructs the composition with various elements, without any preparations for his graphic print in the form of a drawing or a sketch. Sometimes he puts down a print he is satisfied with and returns to the print after a while only to add new motifs and colours. All of his works are monoprints, originals, and as such erase the border between paintings and graphic prints.
