Matjaž Geder

BIOGRAPHY

Matjaž Geder (1976, Murska Sobota) completed his studies at the Secondary School of Design and Photography before continuing in the Art Department of the Faculty of Education in Maribor, where he graduated in 2002. He is employed as an art teacher and Theatre Club mentor at the Murska Sobota II Elementary School. He has acted in the performances, short films and puppet shows as a member of the Ars Altera Pars theatre group. His graphic works have been shown in group and solo exhibitions at home and abroad. Among other things, he took part in the 3rd Valvasor International Graphic Days at Bogenšperk in 2016 and was invited to exhibit his works at the 3rd International Printmaking Biennial Global Print Douro in Portugal, as well as at the 3rd International Biennial of Mini Prints Enter into Art in Cologne (Germany). In the same year, he was also nominated for the Queen Sonja Print Award in Norway. He works in printmaking, painting and illustration. He lives and works in Gornja Radgona.
